Description

UBC has made the Netinfo/Interchange email service available to students for many years. It runs on obsolete hardware and software and is in urgent need of replacement. Although the Interchange and Student Netinfo Email service is still operational, the service will soon be phased out.

The Student and Alumni Email Project is set to find an email service to replace Netinfo/Interchange email. As part of the Student and Alumni Email Project students can sign up for a UBC email forwarding address.

An email forwarding address redirects all mail sent to the email alias address to the owner's destination email mailbox. Mailbox storage is not provided with an email forwarding address. Students signing up for an email forwarding address are not required to sign up for a Netinfo/Interchange email account and may configure their email forwarding address to forward to their personal email address.

To sign up for an Student and Alumni Email forwarding alias, go to https://id.ubc.ca/ to create and configure your UBC email forwarding address.
