Join us at an upcoming insightful Amazon Web Services presentation about Inferential Thinking and Machine Learning. Breakaway from the traditional divide-and conquer approach to problem solving. Carlos Escapa, Senior Principal of Business Development at Amazon Web Services, will open your minds and explain how the data we collect in our daily lives can be used to solve organizational problems with Inferential Thinking through Machine Learning, a method of data analysis that automates model building.

This event is open to everyone at UBC and technical knowledge is not required.

About the Speaker
Carlos Escapa is the Senior Principal of Business Development at Amazon Web Services for Machine Learning and Data Science. Prior to that he was co-founder and CEO of VirtualSharp Software, with a successful exit to Unitrends Inc (Insight Venture Partners). Before that venture, Carlos was the General Manager of Southern Europe at VMware, Vice President of Channels at CA Technologies in Europe, and Business Development Director at Sterling Software Japan. Carlos has a Master of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University.
